‘Brady Bunch’ star Mike Lookinland admits he was ‘off the rails’ in his 20s

“Brady Bunch” star Mike Lookinland admitted his behavior “completely went off the rails” after he reached mega-stardom on “The Brady Bunch.”

Lookinland and Christopher Knight opened up about their experiences as young adults in the Hollywood industry after starring as Bobby and Peter Brady on the 1970s sitcom.

“How come you didn’t end up with a mugshot?” Jaybeau Jones asked during an episode:The Real Brady Brothers” “…No one ever said anything bad about ‘The Brady Bunch’ kids.”

Knight replied, “Maybe because we didn’t want to disappoint Florence and Bob.” “I mean, that was the beginning of it. It’s like there are some people you don’t want to disappoint. I think for me with those two, it was stronger than my own parents.”

Florence Henderson and Robert Reed starred as Carol and Mike, who played parental figures to Lookinland and Knight on “The Brady Bunch.”

Lookinland admitted that he struggled more in his 20s.

“I lived my childhood in my 20s because I couldn’t do that as a kid,” he explained. “And in my twenties, I had a car, money, and freedom… I was completely derailed.”

He later added: “I’m thankful that every man, woman and child didn’t have a high-definition camera in their pocket when I was 25, because it would have ruined my life.”

Knight said he had heard “stories” about what Lookinland was up to back then. “Some of it was under the radar,” Lookinland responded.

“What happens in Salt Lake City stays in Salt Lake City,” Knight joked.

In a previous episode of “The Real Brady Bros.”, Lookinland and Knight star Susan Olsen revealed that she “almost died” while filming the first episode of “The Brady Bunch” as Cindy Brady. While re-watching the pilot with her co-stars, Olsen explained that this was the last time a close-up shot of Cindy was due to “I got hurt.” “Yes, I almost died,” he continued, while his co-stars couldn’t hide their shock at the news.

“They were filming something in the girl’s bedroom at the Culver lot, and I was putting body makeup on my legs,” Olsen said. “I was standing on the makeup chair and something fell off the podium where all the lights and everything were stored.”

“First he shot the make-up artist, [bounced] “He took out the woman with the body make-up and hit me in the face.”

“If you look, you will understand [wedding] “At the ceremony you see three girls on one side, if you zoom in really close you can see my face is pretty swollen,” Olsen explained. “I look different. You can even see it in some of the first promotional shots. “I can tell my face is a little swollen.”
