Brandt Graham: Police fear fugitive being ‘actively assisted’ after wild courthouse escape

A manhunt is underway in the Northern Territory capital after a man sensationally jumped into a glass scaffolding to escape court.

Brandt Graham, 44, fled Darwin Local Court at around 9.50am on Friday and has remained at large since.

According to the Northern Territory Police Force, Mr Bandt was in the custody of G4S court security at the time.

Mr Bandt climbed an eight-foot glass-enclosed scaffolding before fleeing the courtroom while being chased by staff, the NT News reported.

Security cameras at ABC Darwin’s office opposite the courthouse show the wanted fugitive was captured running in a green long-sleeved top and black shorts.

Police said Mr Bandt may have been seen hours later in Doctors Gully at around 10.40am.

“Police believe he remains in the Darwin area and is being actively assisted to evade capture,” NT Police said.

“The public is asked not to approach him and if seen to contact police immediately via triple-0.”
