Brigitte Macron’s daughter testifies over cyberbullying

The daughter of French First Lady Brigitte Macron stated that her mother’s life “got worse” after cyberbullying allegations spread that President Emmanuel Macron’s wife is a man.
“He cannot ignore the terrible things that are being said about him,” Tiphaine Auzière said on the second and final day of the Paris hearing.
Ten people are accused of posting malicious comments online about the First Lady’s gender and sexuality and linking her 24-year age difference with her husband to “pedophilia.”
Some posts were viewed tens of thousands of times.
Some defendants told the court that the comments they posted were intended as humor or satire and that they did not understand why they were being prosecuted.
They include an elected official, a teacher and a computer scientist.
If convicted, they face up to two years in prison.
Auzière, one of Brigitte Macron’s three children, told the court: “I would like to express what her life has looked like since she became the target of intense cyberbullying. This has led to a deterioration of her living conditions.” he said.
Auzière noted that many of Macron’s photos have been misused on the internet: “As a result, he has to pay attention to his clothes, his posture and his daily life.”
Brigitte Macron did not attend the hearing.
Most likely a decision will be made later.
Auzière said the family will suffer the consequences.
“This rubs off on their children and grandchildren. They hear things like ‘Your grandmother is a boy’ at school. I don’t know how to stop this,” she said.
The Macrons have been pursuing conspiracy theories for years that Brigitte was born a man named Jean-Michel Trogneux and that a transgender woman supposedly took the name Brigitte.
Jean-Michel Trogneux is the name of Brigitte’s brother.
When asked if he had seen his uncle, Auzière said: “I saw him a few months ago and he was doing just fine.”
The Macrons also filed a defamation lawsuit in Delaware court in July; because her lawyers had said that they would demand “significant” compensation from Candace Owens, one of the influential conservative figures in the USA, if Brigitte insisted on the allegations that she was a man.
The Macrons, who have been married since 2007, first met in high school, where he was a student and she was a teacher.
Brigitte Macron was then called Brigitte Auzière, who was married and had three children.
Emmanuel Macron, 47, has been president of France since 2017.
