Donald Trump’s ex-aide exposes ‘health cover up’ in White House – ‘He was very sick’ | World | News

A former aide to Donald Trump has claimed there was a “cover-up” at the White House regarding the President’s health.

Sarah Matthews, who was deputy White House press secretary during Trump’s first term and resigned following the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, claimed that the White House even lied about Trump’s health when he caught Covid in 2020.

He said: “When I worked for Trump, I was working there during the time he had Covid.

“One of my main duties as deputy press secretary was to keep the press informed about his condition. Top officials in the White House told us that Trump would go to Walter Reed only as a precaution… I believed this to be true.

“I finally learned that this was a lie. In fact, he was not well at all and was very sick.

“Working in the Trump White House, I know firsthand that he doesn’t want the public to see him as weak. There seems to be some sort of cover-up going on, and I’m sure he doesn’t want the truth to come out, regardless of his health condition, whether it’s something minor or something much more serious.”

To talk David Pakman’s showMs Matthews added: “The handshake thing is ridiculous… If she’s that fragile that she’s bruised from shaking hands, that’s no good either.

“I think he is aware of this and given all the posts on Truth Social, he is quite concerned about the public perception of his health.

“That tells me there’s something going on….I think there’s some kind of cover-up going on, for sure.”

Trump has consistently denied having any health problems. Speculation was rife due to the bruises on his hands and concerns about his cognitive abilities.

The president recently underwent an MRI scan, which the White House said came back with normal results.
