Brisbane news LIVE updates: ‘Broad spell’ of rain hitting SEQ | Olympics venues get $3.4m federal boost

Since the release of Brisbane earlier this year, more than 3 million trips have been taken in the new high -frequency, extra long bus services called Brisbane Metro.

Route 66 replaced the M2, 28 January since it was launched on January 28, 2,566,855 trips recorded.

Rota 111 and 160 replaced M1, since the start of working on June 30, 468,155 trips recorded.

The Brisbane Municipal Assembly measures bus protection on trips rather than the number of passengers. A passenger can catch the bus every day and potentially create 10 or more trips during the week.

The Council expects two subway services to increase the public transport capacity by 2031 to increase up to 30 million. Can carry more passengers from a normal bus.
