Brisbane nightclub Fridays Riverside to close doors after 40 years
Long-running Brisbane nightclub Fridays has announced it will close its doors this Sunday after 40 years of trading in the CBD’s popular Eagle Street area.
Famous for its numerous bars, restaurants, cocktails, DJs and large outdoor area overlooking the river, the club was popular as a weekend nightclub and events venue.
It has far outlasted nearby City Rowers and that site’s successor, Jade Buddha, but on Monday Fridays Riverside’s social media pages announced the club would close this weekend, with the last night being May 24.
“After more than 40 years on the banks of the Brisbane river, Fridays Riverside bids farewell,” the post read.
