British & Irish Lions coach Andy Farrell dismisses doubts over Australia as future Lions hosts

The 2013 Lions Australian tour drew a record of 389,400, but this figure will be easily broken when it filled the Accor Stadium for the third test of a sales crowd on Saturday.

Disappointing the Wallabies series, RA General Manager Phil Waugh is satisfied with the overall success of the tour, not only for Australia, but for lions.

“Although the series is 2-0, you are looking at 40,000 people traveling from England and Ireland to Australia, the intensity of the matches, the stadium infrastructure we have, the larger commercial results for lions and the economic impact for Australia, but also for lions as an asset,” he said.

Im I would think for any country anywhere in the world, this would be an attractive place for any country playing rugby to take a tour.

“When Lions first visited in 1888 and the first round were given to Australia and New Zealand, we must be a very important part of any future program.”

Former British and Irish lions captain Martin Johnson supported the experience of touring in Australia, leading to the tour in 2001.

“People like to come to Australia, a great place to visit fans … I hope this tour helps you to introduce the rhetoric here, it was always in the league and [Australian] The rules were never the biggest sport here, Joh Johnson said.

“But you can still produce the best players and the best teams, I hope Wallabies will return to where it should be.”

French Rugby Federation Vice President Abdel Benazzi said that this nation’s nation is willing to have a long -term relationship with lions, but that it would not be at the expense of Australia.

” We [the Lions and France] He must do something together because we love France fans and lions. ”

“They have a traditional tours in the South, but we don’t want to change anything about it … We can plan with them and we don’t just want a shot, we’re thinking of a long -term agreement with them.”

France can potentially take part in 2027 before the opening female Lions tour to New Zealand, and in 2029, men can be a warming game before the New Zealand tour. The debates between France and Lions are still at an early stage.

Benazzi, a former test Breakway, had a season for Warringah at Shute Shute Shute Shute Shute, and had a close relationship with Australia Rugby and was impressed by what he saw in the country after visiting Melbourne before the second test.

“Not just impressed, I was very impressed,” he said. “For Australia, of course, in 2027 with Lions Tour and the World Cup next year, it will be a very important way to see the further growth of the popularity of the Rugby union.”
