“When the plane landed on the runway, it was a difficult landing under difficult conditions.” Video footage posted by users of the microblogging site shows that during landing, the plane lurched to the right as a result of the landing, and during this high-impact event, one of the two nose wheels slid away and rolled before the plane came to a halt.

Emergency Response and Ground Stop
Following this mechanical failure, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and airport officials immediately ordered the ground to shut down. All MCO departures and arrivals were temporarily suspended while emergency crews secured the scene and inspected the runway for debris.
United Airlines confirmed that there were 200 passengers and 6 crew members on board. Although the landing was quite scary for the passengers, there were no major accidents except for some passengers. No one was injured.
Passengers were safely disembarked directly onto the taxiway.
Shuttles were used to transport passengers from planes to terminals.
Adverse Weather: A Potential Factor
The plane landed in Central Florida under extremely adverse weather conditions. However, at the time of the incident (12:30 p.m.), winds and rain of up to 54 mph were being recorded at Orlando International Airport, while wind gusts of up to 56 mph were being recorded at nearby Orlando Executive Airport.
Impact on Travel
The stranded aircraft and subsequent runway closure caused delays that created a domino effect throughout the afternoon. United Airlines has removed the Airbus A321neo from service for a comprehensive maintenance inspection.
