Brooklyn Beckham enjoys dinner at Sushi Park in West Hollywood with singer Cody Simpson after missing out on LA reunion with his estranged dad David

Brooklyn Beckham enjoyed dinner with singer Cody Simpson at Sushi Park in West Hollywood after missing the opportunity to meet his father David in Los Angeles.

Brooklyn, who currently lives in the United States with his wife Nicola Peltz, recently expressed his desire to get away from his family in a six-page Instagram statement full of lurid allegations.

And Brooklyn narrowly missed coming face-to-face twice with his estranged father for the first time since May after visiting the same hotel on Monday. You can read the full story here.

But Beckham’s eldest son, 27, had a narrow escape as he headed to the celebrity hotspot in Los Angeles on Friday.

Joined by Cody, the 29-year-old Australian singer who released his debut album when he was just 15, Brooklyn headed to Sushi Park, a modest mall sushi spot popular with celebrities, for dinner.

Brooklyn kept it casual for dinner in a simple white tee paired with a dark baseball cap, light brown shorts, and white socks.

Addressing his social media followers in January, Brooklyn claimed that his parents were trying to sabotage his marriage to wife Nicola and that they had always prioritized public branding over family relationships.

‘My entire life, my family has controlled the media narratives about my family,’ he wrote.

‘Performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships were fixtures of the life I was born into.’

He added: ‘Recently, I have seen with my own eyes how far they will go to spread countless lies in the media, often at the expense of innocent people, in order to protect their own image.

‘But I believe the truth always comes out.’

Taking to Instagram last week, Brooklyn shared a photo of herself with Claudia and Nicola just hours before the start of Britain’s Mothering Sunday.

She captioned the post: ‘Happy birthday to the best mother-in-law. ‘I love you so much and I hope you had the most amazing day.’ Claudia’s birthday fell on March 12.

This seemed a particularly deliberate move, given that most of those celebrating Mother’s Day in the UK would be on duty, and Claudia’s birthday was four days earlier.

Meanwhile, photos posted by Nicola, 31, showed the couple celebrating their big day with Claudia Heffner Peltz. In her tribute, Nicola wrote: ‘Happy birthday to my mother! The fact that I get to call you mom truly makes me the luckiest person ever.

‘I’m so happy I could spend this special day with you. I love celebrating you; Your light is so bright you make everything in this world better. I love you more than you can understand. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true!’

This took place during David’s impassioned tribute speech on Mother’s Day morning, which included a photograph of Victoria while she was pregnant.

You are an inspiration to our 4 amazing children in every way a mother should be… We love you so much and I’m so grateful for the family we’ve created. Have a special Mother’s Day because if anyone deserves it, it’s you. I love you @victoriabeckham.’

Brooklyn has become close to Nicola’s parents and spent last Christmas celebrating with her billionaire family, including her brother Bradley.

Brooklyn is said to be “disheartened” after his parents wished him a happy birthday and broke their communication agreement.

Victoria and David’s eldest son turned 27 earlier this month and criticized ‘performative posts’ containing loving messages, according to reports.

An insider tells ET that Brooklyn wants to end her parents’ attempts to contact her, including on social media, following the painful fallout.

Victoria, 51; David, 50; and his siblings Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, shared heartfelt posts honoring Brooklyn’s birthday, but they seemingly went unappreciated.

A source told the publication: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola are left disheartened that they chose to make public Instagram posts for her birthday. These are the kinds of public actions Brooklyn is trying in vain to put an end to.

‘Last summer they published a legal letter to their parents requesting that all correspondence be through lawyers.’
