Brooklyn Beckham’s acting skills are brutally overlooked as impressed followers heap praise on his Manchester United supporting co-star in new hot sauce commercial

From photographer to model, influencer to amateur chef and finally businessman, no one could accuse Brooklyn Beckham of following a traditional career path.

But David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son added an unusual twist to the broadcast on Thursday, starring in a new commercial for his passion project, hot sauce company Cloud 23.

Stepping into a career more suited to her actor husband, Brooklyn, 26, stars in a short commercial, The Perfect Match, alongside New York restaurateur John Seymour, ostensibly to promote his current business ventures.

The duo have teamed up to launch a new sweet jalapeno pulled chicken sandwich, topped with Brooklyn’s Cloud 23, at all of Seymour’s US-based Sweet Chick restaurants.

But the New York native appears to be stealing Brooklyn’s thunder as he takes a taxi to one of Brooklyn’s restaurants before bonding over the quality of the sandwich in question.

A handful of followers on Instagram were clearly impressed by Seymour’s acting skills while ignoring her co-star.

Brooklyn, who has stepped into a profession more suitable for her actor husband, stars alongside New York restaurateur John Seymour in the short commercial The Perfect Match.

One wrote: ‘You are such a natural at acting bro.’

Another added: ‘Here for actor John….so good!!!!’

Elsewhere, a third joked: ‘Let me find out John has an Oscar on the way.’

Seymour attracted attention with his subtle reference to Brooklyn’s father, David, from whom he is currently estranged.

Climbing into a taxi with his new business partner, the restaurateur is wearing an old Manchester United training shirt with the logo of former sponsors Vodafone.

The mobile network famously sponsored United for six years from 2000, a trophy-filled period for the club, before David left for Real Madrid in 2003.

Brooklyn announced the launch of its hot sauce, available exclusively in Whole Foods stores in the UK, in October 2024, and has regularly used its significant presence on social media to promote the brand.

Cloud 23, named after the number 23 jersey worn by his father for Real Madrid and Los Angeles Galaxy, currently has two versions: Sweet Jalapeno and Hot Habanero.

Seymour immediately attracted attention by wearing a vintage Manchester United training jersey, a subtle reference to Brooklyn’s father David, who played for the club until 2003.
