Brooklyn Beckham unfollowed his father’s best friend Gordon Ramsay on Instagram after the chef called on him to ‘remember where he came from’.

The TV star issued a warning to Brooklyn, 26, in an interview on Friday but insisted the pair have a good relationship.

Ramsay, 59, said he believed his “love” for Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, led to his decision to cut ties with his parents, Victoria, 51, and David, 50.

Brooklyn has since unfollowed the chef but was unable to block him. Friends of the Ramsay family suspect Brooklyn and his wife were angry that the TV star talked about the fight in a way that made them look negative.

A friend of the families said: ‘Brooklyn and Nicola want absolutely no criticism. They just don’t want to hear any negativity about themselves.

‘They must hate being talked about unless they’re gushing. Maybe they don’t like the truth.’

Ramsay said he believes it’s “just a matter of time” for Brooklyn to realize “what his parents mean to him.”

He told The Sun: ‘He’s desperate to make his own way and I respect that. It’s a very good thing to do. But don’t forget where you came from.

‘And honestly, one day your mom and dad won’t be around and you have to understand that. That penny will drop.

‘Brooklyn and I texted a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love it; His heart is incredible.

‘But it’s so hard when you’re madly in love, isn’t it? Love is blind. It’s easy to get on that roller coaster and get carried away. But he will come back.’

The celebrity chef, whose son Jack is Brooklyn’s closest childhood friend, also praised the Beckhams for their parenting.

In an interview published Friday, Ramsay spoke out against Brooklyn, whom he has known since childhood, and said it was his feelings for wife Nicola Peltz that led to his decision to cut ties with his family.

However, Gordon is still able to track Brooklyn, meaning he doesn't yet have the top-level clout to block him; as if they had their own parents.

She added: ‘I’ve seen first-hand what good parents they are. David is incredible as a father.

‘They both put a lot of energy into their children, and I know how many times they got Brooklyn out of situations.

‘I think it’ll just be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at herself and realizes how much her family means to her.’

Ramsay also denied Brooklyn’s accusation that he ‘missed’ his mother Victoria’s first dance with Ms Peltz at their April 2022 wedding and danced inappropriately with her.

The chef said: ‘We were there at the wedding. There was nothing obscene. There was nothing inappropriate. Everybody was having fun, dancing.’
