Browns’ Myles Garrett says it’d be ‘special’ to break record vs Aaron Rodgers

Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett is on the brink of NFL history as he is just a half-sack away from breaking the single-season record set by Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Pittsburgh Steelers star TJ Watt.
Garrett, 29, said it would be “special” to set the record by sacking Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“It would be special. It’s legendary in itself. And what I’m after here is a legendary record. So that would be a great album to hang a picture on the wall,” Garrett said at a press conference Friday.

Rodgers gets the ball out quickly, and Garrett said it was important to eliminate his easy reads.
“He’s got to eliminate those easy reach throws, get him to look at his second read and continue to rush. If we continue to get stops during the game, there will be (opportunities) and he can’t continue to lean on those quick passes when you need to score points,” Garrett said.
The 3-12 Browns will face the Steelers at home on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Steelers would secure the AFC North and a playoff spot by beating the Browns.

Garrett is hoping the Browns can play spoiler, so if he breaks the record on Sunday, he will have done so with a win.
“Yeah, I’m just playing. I want to get it, and you know, like I said, I want to win while doing it. And I think we’ve got guys locked in that want to do that, too,” Garrett said.
The seven-time Pro Bowler said there wasn’t any pressure that came with the record approaching.

“Pressure? No, no pressure. Like I said, it’s coming down. So, I’m not stressed or worried about whether or not I’m going to get it. It’s just a matter of when,” Garrett said.
Garrett has established himself as one of the NFL’s premier pass rushers since being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The four-time All-Pro has posted a staggering 124.5 points in 132 career games.
