BRS Social Media Leader Krishank Among Nine Arrested

Hyderabad: Kukatpally police arrested BRS social media leader Manne Krishank along with eight others and produced them in court, which will remand them into judicial custody on Thursday. Police said that the incident was related to objectionable content and posts on social media platforms and that they took action upon the complaint of Congress social media coordinator Rajender.
The controversy revolved around a post that purportedly published a picture of a Telugu newspaper clipping along with the headline claiming that Krishank and his wife were involved in a job scam. Krishank denied the allegations.
In response, Krishank filed a complaint, leading to the filing of a countersuit. He claimed that the derogatory and offensive remarks targeting his family were made by Rajendar and this prompted him to take legal action. Krishank stated that the allegations were unfounded and claimed that no such news was published in the newspaper.
Police officials confirmed that both cases were being investigated simultaneously. They stated that the nature of the social media posts, the intention behind them and the claims made by both parties were being examined.
Minor Arrested Under Pocso Act for Cheating on Minor Girl
Hyderabad: Vanasthalipuram police arrested a minor under the Pocso Act for allegedly cheating and exploiting a minor girl under the pretext of relationship. As part of the investigation, the suspect was caught and brought before the Juvenile Justice Board. Authorities then sent him to a children’s home in accordance with legal procedure.
According to the police, the accused, a minor from Telangana region, had befriended the girl and gained her trust by offering his affection. He allegedly took advantage of the relationship to assault and abuse the victim.
Sri Pochamma Peddamma Temple Near Sagar Ring Road Robbed
Hyderabad: Unidentified miscreants robbed the Sri Pochamma Peddamma Temple located near Sagar Ring Road in Mallikarjunanagar, LB Nagar police said on Thursday. Quoting the complaint filed by farmer and temple president Darpelly Subash, they said the hundi containing 10,000 cash, a silver aarati stand weighing around 25 grams and a gold black bead chain weighing around 5 grams was stolen.
According to police, the temple priest secured the property and went home on Wednesday. When he returned on Thursday, he found the iron grate locks broken and the items missing.
The priest informed temple head Subash, who rushed to the scene and confirmed the theft. Police suspect that the criminals entered the temple by scaling the compound wall before breaking the locks. Police said investigations are ongoing.
26-Year-Old Woman Dies by Suicide in Kushaiguda
Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman died in an alleged suicide, Kushaiguda police said on Thursday. The victim’s father, Rajender Singh, a resident of Bidar in Karnataka, tried to contact his daughter many times but received no response. When she became suspicious, she alerted her neighbour, Bharateshwaramma, who visited the house to check on him.
The neighbor entered the residence and found the body of the victim, Sonam Thakur, in the bedroom. He immediately called emergency services, but ambulance personnel who reached the scene and examined him confirmed Sonam’s death.
Upon being informed, his wife and other family members rushed to the scene. Following a complaint by the victim’s father, Kushaiguda police registered a case and launched an investigation.
The reasons behind the suicide have not yet been determined.
