Sydney Sweeney debunks plastic surgery rumors in new interview

Sydney Sweeney is clearing the air about rumors that she went under the knife.

During a recent interview with her “The Housemaid” co-star Amanda Seyfried FascinationThe 28-year-old actress responded to rumors that she had plastic surgery.

When asked if there were any beauty rumors she wanted to debunk, Sweeney said she wanted to dispel all rumors by saying, “Let’s debunk them all.”

“So I’ve never had any work done. I’m so afraid of needles, you have no idea,” she said. “Friends, you cannot compare a photo of me when I was 12 with a photo of me when I was 26, taken with professional make-up and lighting. Of course I will look different!”

While Seyfried assured Sweeney that she no longer needed any cosmetic procedures, she explained that they “really take effect as we get older” and offered to take the “Everybody But You” star in when she gets older.

“I’ll give you some Ativan and you’ll be so excited,” Seyfried joked. Sweeney later explained that had she gone under the knife “her face would have been even.”

“One eyelid opens a little bit more than the other,” he said to a confused Seyfried. “I had a water skiing accident here when I was younger and got 19 stitches. So I feel like my eye is pulled a little bit differently than the other.”

The duo also touched on what their biggest on-screen transformation has been so far, with Sweeney sharing: “I transformed myself quite a bit for ‘Christy.'”

In the film, Sweeney plays real-life boxer Christy Martin and tells the story of her rise as a professional boxer, coming to terms with her lesbian identity while dealing with her abusive husband and trainer.

“I had about two and a half months, three months to exercise and gain weight. Then I had to keep it up for the entirety of the movie. So from the beginning of July until Thanksgiving,” he explained. “So during filming I would like to use different wigs for different periods, and then I put on brown lenses. It’s very different.”

The duo is promoting their new movie, “The Housemaid,” based on Freida McFadden’s popular novel, coming out in 2022.

The story follows a young woman who gets a job as a maid in a wealthy family, only to realize that all is not as it seems.

“I’ve always been a fan of psychological thrillers as well as characters in psychological thrillers,” Sweeney said. And as an actor, you have to find different levels of performance in situations where the character is telling the truth and when he’s not.”

“The Housemaid” will premiere in theaters on December 19.
