BSF apprehends 11 Bangladeshi nationals and 10 Rohingya migrants in Tripura amid heightened security

A BSF Spokesperson said that due to increased security measures during the festive season, BSF Tripura Frontier has intensified its vigil on the India-Bangladesh border.
In coordinated operations on Sunday, BSF troops nabbed 21 illegal infiltrators, including 11 Bangladeshi citizens and 10 Rohingya immigrants, from different parts of Tripura.
Based on certain intelligence inputs, BSF teams detected suspicious movement at Agartala Railway Station; Here, it was determined that 11 people were Bangladeshi citizens, had entered India illegally and were trying to travel to other parts of India by train.
The spokesman added that in a separate operation in northern Tripura district, BSF personnel intercepted 10 Rohingya illegal immigrants, including women and children, who were trying to enter Bangladesh.
He said preliminary interrogation revealed that they were traveling from Delhi and Jammu and were planning to reach Moulvibazar in Bangladesh via Tripura.
