Three patients die at Jalandhar civil hospital, families blame fault in oxygen supply

On Sunday, July 27, 2025, three patients died in Jalandhar Civil Hospital, and family members claimed that they died due to a technical error in the oxygen supply in the trauma center.

However, hospital officials rejected the allegations, but alleged that the spare oxygen cylinders were made functional in a short time, accepted that the oxygen supply fell slightly.

Raj Kumar said that a nine -member committee that will present a report within two days.

One of the patients was taken to hospital with a snake bite, the second was an overdose of a drug, and the third suffered from tuberculosis. All three were put in ventilators.

Speaking to journalists, Senior Medical Officer (SMO) Vinay Anand said that the oxygen pressure was a technical error in which a little immersed.

“But there were sufficient oxygen cylinders that were functional in a short time. Also, the technical error in the main oxygen facility was also corrected.” He said.

Mr Anand, who accused the faulty oxygen supply behind deaths, said that the allegations were not true.

When asked what causes deaths, SMO said, “The reasons for the doctors in the files of the patients were mentioned.” However, family members claimed that patients had died after oxygen supply was captured.
