Building Worker Dies in Fall

Hyderabad: Devara Babu Easter, 40, died after slipping from the fourth floor of an under-construction building at Indra Hills in Simsiguda in Kukatpally on Saturday evening. Kukatpally police said the Suyapet native had migrated to Hyderabad for work and was a resident of Bachupally. Police said, “At around 16:00 in the evening, while he was doing his job, he accidentally slipped and fell from the fourth floor and died at the scene.” The police filed a lawsuit upon the complaint of the victim’s wife.

Fraudster suspect caught after chase

Hyderabad: Dundigal police arrested Khayyum in a Rs 25 lakh cheating case after a short chase near Medchal railway station on Friday night. Detective Inspector Kiran and his team, who took action upon the notice that he was at Medchal railway station around 22:00 in the evening, reached the scene. Hayyum tried to escape by crossing the railway tracks. Police followed him for about 2.5 km before catching him. Authorities said Hayyum would be brought to court. Further investigation is ongoing.
