Cairns: Car crash involving allegedly stolen car kills 12yo child, injures three in Far North Queensland

A 12-year-old boy has died and three young adults have been hospitalized after an allegedly stolen vehicle rolled over in a horror crash in Far North Queensland.

A gray Toyota Fortuner left the road and rolled along Stratford Rd in Cairns in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said the car was reported stolen from Mooroobool at around 3am.

The 12-year-old boy died at the scene of the accident.

Two men, aged 20 and 22, and a 19-year-old woman were taken to Cairns Hospital.

Investigations continue.
