California man charged in missing wife’s murder left a review for spellcaster

The couple had been having marital problems for the last year and Maya had stated that she wanted to leave the marriage.

As investigators investigated the case, they say they learned that Larry was desperate to get her to stay and resorted to unconventional methods.
“There are people on the Internet who will sell you for five dollars, you know, how to cast a spell that will draw her away from you… And that’s what she tried to do,” said Billy Little, a former U.S. Navy criminal defense investigator who helped Maya’s family in the early days of the investigation. Few things say that Larry has contacted numerous spelling experts and even wrote a review for one.

“And he writes about this wizard: ‘He’s kind, professional, and kind. My casting hasn’t come out yet, but I’m really counting on it and hoping for it.’ …leaving a review on Yelp for a food order that sounds like it would be left,” commented “48 Hours” writer Jonathan Vigliotti.
“Like, this is an Uber ride. … Like, “Oh, five stars. “Good job, wizard,” Little said.
“So, he’s not as smart as he thinks he is. He doesn’t realize that all this is being pointed out to him.” Very little added.
Larry tells Millete that his wife left to start a new life.
Larry Millete was arrested for the murder of his wife in October 2021 and pleaded not guilty. On July 9, 2026, a jury found Larry Millete guilty of first-degree murder in the death of Maya Millete.
In August 2024, a judge awarded custody of Maya’s three children to her sister, Maricris.
Maya Nation was never found.
