California sues Trump for blocking undocumented immigrants from benefit programs

The coalition of California and other liberal leaderships filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on new rules that prevented undocumented immigrants from accessing the “public interest” programs that have been fundamental more than a dozen federal and argued that restrictions were targeting their working mothers and children to violate the Federal Laws.

President Trump and others defended the necessary restrictions to protect services, including American citizens – veterans, and to reduce illegal immigration incentives to the country.

One of the programs faced by new restrictions is the Head Start that provides child care, nutrition and health assistance to approximately 800,000 low -income infants, young children and preschool children.

Others include short -term shelters for homeless people, survivors of domestic violence and young people at risk; Emergency shelters for humans during excessive air; Food support services such as soup kitchens, community food banks and meals on wheels for the elderly; Health services for those with mental illness and substance addiction problems; and other adult training programs.

California Atty. General Rob Bonda’s office, states that states have been allowed to expand such programs to at least documentary immigrant families since 1997, and the Trump administration has provided a “ruthless” and costly attack to some of the most vulnerable inhabitants of the country’s most vulnerable reversal of the thirty years ”.

Bond, this last Salvo in the President’s anti -immigration campaign, first of all, goes after working mothers and young children, Bond said. “We are not talking about waste, fraud and abuse, we are talking about basic children’s care, health, nutrition and education aid, programs that offer programs that have been open to everyone for decades.”

The lawsuit filed by California with the 19 other states and the Columbia region argues that new restrictions have been initiated only in a “arbitrary and capricious” way and that it will cost states for hundreds of millions of dollars a year without notifying the states.

Bonda’s office said, “Programs are required to educate the personnel to educate the personnel to educate the personnel or to confirm the citizenship or immigration situation, and that it will bring time and resource burden to programs that are forced to operate in narrow financial margins”.

He also said that the effect of changes in California, a large immigrant population compared to other states, would be “destructive and immediately”.

The White House did not respond immediately to the request for a comment on Monday.

The claims of the states are opposed to anti -immigration controversy, Trump, administration and other anti -immigration, and makes it difficult for US citizens to receive service by American taxpayers and US citizens receive service.

About a month after taking office, Trump issued an executive order titled “The taxpayer of the open borders”, where the administration would protect the rule of law and protect the benefits for American citizens, including defense and disabled individuals, against waste of challenging taxpayers resources ”.

The order required the presidents of federal institutions to make comprehensive examinations about the benefit programs and in part to restrict access to undocumented immigrants to “act as a magnet and to prevent you from illegal migration to the United States”.

Trump stated 1996 Personal Responsibility and Business Opportunity Reconciliation Law Federal accuses open limitations against non -citizens who participate in the benefit programs financed as federal and weaken the “principles and limitations of this law.

Past administrations have exempted the law by allowing immigrants to access certain “life or security” programs, including those targeted for new restrictions.

In response to Trump’s order, various federal institutions, including health and human services, labor, education and agriculture, announced that at the beginning of this month, 1996 laws, including those who were exempted earlier, excludes more programs, including those who were exempted earlier.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “The government has led the tax dollar to illegal migration to encourage illegal migration,” he said.

Eğitim Under the leadership of President Trump, hardworking American taxpayers will no longer show the bill to participate in our career, technical or adult training programs or activities, under the leadership of President Trump, ”he said.

Lari We protect well-paid jobs for American workers by enabling these programs to serve the aims of these programs and re-confirm the commitment to end illegal immigration and to end illegal immigration, ”he said.

The Ministry of Agriculture also said that it will impose new restrictions on benefits for undocumented immigrants, including additional nutrition aid program or SNAP. However, the case of the states is not challenging the Ministry of Agriculture, stating that many USDA programs are subject to an independent legal requirement to provide certain benefit programs independent of citizenship ”.

Participating in Bonda while filed a lawsuit was Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Mainine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Washington, Washington and Washington, Washington and Columbb.
