Cane crushing begins at co-operative sugar mill in Kallakurichi

Cane crushing began at the cooperative sugar mill at Moongilthuraipattu near Kallakurichi on Thursday. It was officially inaugurated by R. Vinoth, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

According to officials, during the crushing period, the cooperative mill aimed to crush around 4.75 lakh tonnes of sugarcane grown on an area of ​​approximately 12,750 acres.
