Carrie Underwood shares patriotic American flag display at Tennessee home

Carrie Underwood is proud to be American.

The 43-year-old country singer recently shared a video on Instagram of herself walking over a large fence adorned with American flags along the property.

“Can’t believe I get to live here. Thank you God. #GodBlessAmerica #Grateful #TN,” he wrote.

Fans in the comments section were also inspired by the display of patriotism; One of them said a demonstration like the one he saw at Eric Trump’s Trump Winery in Virginia “literally brought tears to my eyes. Very patriotic.”

Underwood showed her patriotism by performing “America the Beautiful” in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda during President Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2025.

He avoided an awkward moment before his performance when the music stopped, causing him to tell the crowd “You know the words, help me” and sing it a cappella.

“I love our country and I am honored to be asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement. he said. “I am honored to answer the call at a time when we all need to come together in the spirit of unity and look to the future.”

The announcement was met with mixed reactions; While some, like “The View’s” Joy Behar, criticized her decision, others defended her.

During an interview with Fox News Digital at the time, Lee Greenwood came to her defense, saying: “She’ll do a great job singing ‘America the Beautiful’ at the Capitol.”

“I will sing before the president is sworn in,” he added. “Then he’ll sing. And that moment will be magical. For people who have anything negative to say, I say keep it to yourself. Don’t attack a friend of mine who’s here for the same reason I am for the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States.”
