Category 4 storm tracking to hit Queensland coastline, map

Queensland Premier David Crisafulli said the state was bracing for the power of Cyclone Narelle, which is expected to hit the Far North Queensland coast as early as Thursday night.

“We have pre-positioned swift water rescue teams, we have medical personnel on site, we have police and fire crews,” he said while speaking to Nine’s. Today program this morning.

“We’re taking this really seriously.”

Crisafulli said this has been a challenging disaster season for the state and urged them to use the expected path of the hurricane today to clean up their yards and check on neighbors.

“But we’ve been through this before and I know we will get through this too,” he said.
