Couple killed, 471 roads closed, schools shut as torrential rains ravage Himachal

Authorities, a newly married couple was killed and normal life in Himachal Pradesh was thrown, because heavy rainfall triggered landslides, prevented 471 ways, and the authorities said in a statement on Monday, July 21, said.
The meteorological department of the state issued a ‘red’ warning for very heavy rainfall in five of the 12 regions of the state, including Shimla, Kangra, Chamba, Sirmaur and Mandi.
Due to the heavy rainfall in the Chamba area, he fell to the top of a house in Sutanh village early on Monday, killed Sunny and Pallu, who recently married.
The victims visited the house of the parents of the oppressed woman.
Authorities announced on Monday morning that schools in various sub -sections in the four regions of the state would remain closed due to road blockages following landslides and heavy rains.
Educational institutions were closed in Shimla region, Theog, Rohru, Jubbal, Chopal and Gambling, Mandi region, Ani and Sirmaur in the Kullu region and Sirmaur were closed in Shillai.
However, the delayed announcement caused discomfort for students and parents.
Affected roads
While the affected 471 roads were in the maximum (310) disaster, the 1,199 power distribution transformer and 676 water supply scheme were also affected.
National Highway 707 (Hatki-Poanda Owner) Closed, Mandi-Kullu National Highway near Shillia in the Sirmaur region is blocked near 4 miles and 9 miles and continued to fall on the road, preventing the vehicle traffic and Pathankot-Bilaspur National Highway is also blocked, he said.
The Nakrod-Talli bridge was washed in the Chamba area, while a vehicle was buried under a landslide near Thalot in Mandi. In Shimla, Jubbarhatti road was closed and left off the office goers for hours.
Since Sunday night, heavy rains have polluted several parts of the state. Kangra maximum rainfall was 147.4 mm, then Nagrota Syria (127.4 mm), Chuwari (118.3 mm), Mandi (100 mm), Nahan (Nahan (95.7 mm) and 86 mm) between others.
Since the beginning of the monsoon, 72 people died on June 20, and 34 of them disappeared throughout the state.
Himachal Pradesh also said that he had 34 flash floods, 22 cloud explosions and 21 landslides in this monsoon season, causing approximately 1,235 RS losses.
