How to apply for reconsideration: Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Apply for copies of evaluated answer sheets
Students must receive a copy of their evaluated answer script before requesting re-evaluation or verification of their grades. The application window for this step is open between May 19 and May 22, 2026.
Sign in official CBSE portal Using your board exam credentials, select the topics you want to receive copies of.
Step 2: Examine your answer sheets carefully
Once you receive copies of your response texts, review them thoroughly.
Look at all pages to make sure no answers are flagged, verify that the total of points is correct, and evaluate the specific points awarded for each answer. It’s important to identify any obvious inconsistencies here before moving on to the final step.
Step 3: Apply for verification of reconsideration
If you find any calculation marks, unchecked answers, or grade discrepancies during your review, you can formally submit a request for verification and reconsideration.
The application window for this phase is from May 26 to May 29, 2026.
