Premier League relegation battle: Will it be Tottenham or West Ham who survive?

With two games remaining, the relegation battle between Tottenham and West Ham is on a knife edge and their recent form tells two different stories.
Tottenham have achieved some stability under Roberto de Zerbi. They are unbeaten in four matches (W2 D2), their longest unbeaten run this season and a reflection of a team finally showing some resilience after months of turbulence.
Their last five-game unbeaten run took place in December and January; That seems like such a long time ago now.
Momentum hasn’t been Spurs’ friend this year, but avoiding defeat at this stage is nothing to sneeze at.
West Ham, on the contrary, are slipping away at the worst possible moment. Defeat at Newcastle would leave the team with three defeats; This has happened twice before under Nuno Espirito Santo, once in October and once in December.
When results dip, they tend to drop quickly, and the Hammers’ season has been punctuated by damaging spells that have led them back into trouble.
Spurs’ fate remains in their own hands, while West Ham’s margin for error is rapidly shrinking. Survival in the next two decisive games may depend on who has the courage.
