Central Teams Inspect Flood Affected Areas

KAMAREDDY: A central team visited flood-affected areas in Medak and Kamareddy districts on Wednesday and inspected damaged farmlands, roads, bridges and water tanks and interacted with affected residents.
Flood victims talked about the losses in houses and crops due to the flood in August. The visit took place following the survey reports submitted by regional officials.
In Medak district, collector Rahul Raj briefed the team about the extent of damage. The team inspected Maktha Bhupathipur, Timmanagar and nearby villages.
Team members Dr K. Ponnu Swamy, Vinod Kumar, Abhishek Kumar and SS Pintoo also toured the affected areas in Kamareddy district and collector Ashish Sangwan presented damage assessments. They visited Bhiknoor, Bibipet, Anthampally, GR Colony (Kamareddy), Lingampally Khurdu, Nagireddypet mandal and Pocharam reservoir.
The team was accompanied by officials from revenue, agriculture, panchayat raj, electricity, roads and buildings and irrigation departments. Members also viewed a photo exhibit and presentation highlighting flood damage.
