Centre pushed country into economic crisis: Akhilesh Yadav

According to the Samajwadi Party (SP) statement, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister also attacked the Center for rising petrol and diesel prices and asked who was responsible for the state of the economy after 12 years of rule.
Yadav made these remarks while addressing SP leaders and workers from different parts of UP at the party’s headquarters here.
He also targeted the Yogi Adityanath government and alleged that the BJP was following the “path of lies” and pushing UP into “darkness”, claiming that inflation, unemployment and corruption have peaked under the current dispensation.
Attacking the state government on the issue of electricity supply, Yadav said the BJP was responsible for the power crisis in UP and alleged that people were suffering due to unannounced power outages amid severe heat.
He also claimed that no new power plant was established during the tenure of the BJP government and the electricity currently provided in the state was generated from power projects set up during the SP government.
Yadav also alleged that the BJP government in UP had done “maximum injustice” to the PDA community during its two terms in office.PDA is a political acronym used by the Samajwadi Party for ‘Pichhda, Dalit and Alpsankhyak’ (backwards, Dalits and minorities).
The SP chief said the BJP was “spreading hatred” in society for the sake of political gains and lacked honest leadership required by a welfare state.
Referring to the 2027 UP Assembly elections, Yadav said the SP narrowly missed out on forming the government in 2022 and will “leave no stone unturned” in the next elections.
He claimed that people supported his party and claimed that his target was to win “100 per cent seats” in the state. He also said that the 2024 Lok Sabha election results are an example of the effectiveness of the PDA strategy.
Yadav alleged that the BJP was “conspiring” against the Samajwadi Party and making “baseless allegations” against the party leadership due to disappointment over its Lok Sabha poll performance.
He also accused the BJP government of failing in sectors such as education, health, electricity, law and order, and alleged that promises made to the people were not fulfilled.
