Centre Sanctions Six Additional BSNL 4G Towers in Kakinada District

Kakinada: Kakinada MP Tangella Uday Srinivas said that the Center has approved six additional BSNL 4G towers in Kakinada district to improve mobile and internet connectivity in rural, tribal and remote areas.
The approval aims to strengthen digital infrastructure and provide better communication services to underserved village residents, the lawmaker said.
Uday Srinivas said that he wrote a letter to Union communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in September 2025 and also raised the issue in Parliament for improving telecom facilities in the region.
He said the Center responded positively by approving six additional BSNL 4G towers under the Digital Bharat Nidhi scheme in addition to the 23 towers already operating in the region.
According to the MP, the new towers will be installed in Mettuchinta, Padavulapalem, Thotapalli and Vantada villages in Prathipadu mandal and Dhara Jagannadhapuram and Ginnilaram villages in Rowthulapadu mandal.
He said improved connectivity will increase access to online education, healthcare, e-governance initiatives, digital transactions and employment opportunities in the region.
