Chaos erupts on eve of Corbyn’s Your Party conference as four ejected from rally | Politics | News

Four people have been kicked out of a rally for Jeremy Corbyn’s new party as his new political movement descends into a bitter factional war on the eve of its founding conference.

An event billed as a ‘Night of Culture and Politics’ in central Liverpool turned into a shouting match as black-clad security guards escorted out troublemakers. Some in the crowd were heard shouting, “Let them stay,” while others were heard muttering, “There are always those who go crazy.” The rally started with a musician conducting the hall to his heart’s content. I am a man of unityLen McCluskey, former general secretary of Unite, before appearing on stage with Mr Corbyn. Mr McCluskey tried to defuse tensions by jokingly shouting from the stage: “Saboteurs! MI5!” This joke caused the fans to laugh nervously.

Four people tried to disrupt the event; While each claimed Mr Corbyn was not “anti-Zionist”, one of them asked: “why am I being expelled?” He was heard shouting. as he was forcibly taken out of the room.

Even before the doors were opened, broken pieces were visible outside. Next up, activists from the far-left Revolutionary Communist Group distributed leaflets accusing Mr Corbyn of “not being anti-Zionist enough” and accusing him of “driving Zarah Sultana away from the party”.

One member told the Express the movement was “fundamentally divided”, insisting: “This is not a childish debate, it is existential.” Another went further, branding Mr Corbyn, long a hero of the hard left, as now “on the right”.

The allegations come amid growing signs of open war between the party’s two founders.

The movement, launched by Mr Corbyn and former Labor MP Ms Sultana earlier this year, has suffered a chaotic birth marked by violent infighting, resignations and organizational disarray.

Independent MP Iqbal Mohammed resigned, citing “toxic” culture. The launch descended into drama when Ms Sultana announced the party without Mr Corbyn’s knowledge, catching its co-founder by surprise and sparking weeks of bitter debate.

Mr Corbyn did not attend Ms Sultana’s pre-conference rally held just around the corner, prompting talk of a widening rift at the summit before the conference began.

This weekend thousands of members will travel to Liverpool to decide on the party’s name, platform and internal rulebook. Members will choose one of four options: Your Party, Our Party, Popular Alliance and For the Majority.
