Emergency services rushed to a popular British city after a man was allegedly hit by a vehicle and stabbed on the night of the massacre. Police and paramedics rushed to Chichester Road in Southend-on-Sea after finding a man with stab wounds. Three men and a woman arrested following incidents on Chichester Road

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 5, following reports that two groups, some of whom were thought to be carrying knives, were fighting around 02:00 in the morning. Essex Live reports. According to police, armed officers arrived at the scene and found a man suffering from stab wounds. A further investigation later revealed that a vehicle had also collided with the man, who suffered serious and potentially life-changing injuries.

The two suspects fled the scene in a car that was later found at Southend Hospital, while a second vehicle believed to be linked to the incident was stopped safely on the M25 motorway in Hertfordshire.

Police arrested four people, three men and a woman, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm; One of the men is currently being treated in hospital.

Officers believe the attack is linked to an earlier disturbance near the South Street Bar on London Road in Westcliff at around 1am.

On Sunday morning, a large cordon was in place at the junction with Warrior Square on Chichester Road, with police on guard in the area.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Bradford said: “I understand how worrying this incident will be for the local community today. “I want to reassure you that officers made swift arrests and we believe those involved knew each other.

“You will see an increased police presence in the area and I encourage you to come and speak to us. I would also appeal to anyone with information or CCTV or dashcam footage to contact us. This investigation is still in its early stages, but this type of violent behavior has no place in Southend and we will not tolerate it.”
