One Missing, Five Trapped in Sircilla

Karimnagar: Heavy rains caused severe floods, which led to a dangerous situation with water overflowing from the reservoir of the upper manair dam (UMD) in Narmalah Village in the Gambhiraopet map in the Rajanna Sirilla region.
Increased water flow danished many people, including farmers and shepherds trying to cross the wreck down the flow of UMD.
A shepherd from the village of Narmala, Pampukadi Nagahah (45), disappeared after being sweeping by flood waters while trying to cross the road. Police and rescue teams launched search operations.
In a separate incident, five farmers – Jangam Swamy, Pitla Narsimhulu, Dhyyanaboina Swamy, Pitla Mash and Pitla Swamy – were stranded on the other side of the Umd region.
Police and NDRF teams run there, while the regional collector Sandep Kumar Jha and police Mash B.’s director personally supervise the rescue efforts.
Transportation Minister Ponnam Prabhakar guaranteed that rescue operations are continuing, while the Minister of Union Bandi Sanjay Kumar called on the phone to stay calm by talking to farmers.
The authorities used a drone to support them. Authorities warned the indigenous people not to try to cross flooded rivers or lakes. Heavy rains broke the transportation in the region.
