SVIMS Launches Diabetic Foot Clinic to Offer Specialised Care at Tirupati Hospital

What are you doing? Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) on Tuesday opened a Diabetic Foot Clinic at Sri Padmavathi Hospital here to provide specialized and coordinated care to patients with diabetes-related foot complications.
The clinic was established under the joint supervision of the departments of endocrinology, general surgery and cardiovascular surgery. SVIMS director and vice-rector Dr. RV Kumar said the clinic aims to ensure early detection of foot problems, timely medical or surgical intervention and comprehensive care through close inter-departmental coordination. Dr Hari Prasad said the clinic will operate from 2 pm to 4 pm every day from January 27 to February 3 and the same hours every Tuesday thereafter. SVIMS medical chief Dr Ram, doctors and staff from relevant departments attended the programme.
