In this case, Pabari had been granted bail from the Gujarat High Court and the police had already filed a chargesheet. The matter is still pending in the courts.

Wednesday started out like any other day, according to officials. Pabari’s wife and mother were busy with household chores on the ground floor. When his wife went upstairs around 11:00, she found him hanging in her room. He was immediately taken to Wockhardt Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by emergency room doctors. The hospital alerted the police as part of standard medical-legal protocol. The Malaviya Nagar police team reached the spot within a short time, conducted initial investigation and registered a case of accidental death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita (BNS). Police will now record statements from family members and piece together the events leading up to his death; The missing phone is expected to play an important role in the ongoing investigation.
