PA MediaForty years ago, the police officer met Dal Babu, and came face to face with an armed man who was a suspicious member of an organized crime gang targeting him and pulled the trigger.
The bullet survived because he was stuck in the barrel.
Babu, who is now retired from power, said he was called for violence reports in a cafe in North London.
The Turkish Baybasinler gang, also known as Hackney Turks or Bombacilars, was a terrible reputation.
Then what happened shocked him.
“None of the people in the cafe wanted to make any explanation. None will give evidence. Even if someone tries to hit a police officer.”
Two years of blood feud between the Turks and rivals Tottenham Turks, two London gangs, continue to quietly terrorize the communities on the streets of the communities.
In May last year, an armed man went out of a restaurant in Dalston in the east of London and told him to be connected to the Hackney gang in court.
The house of the house in Kingsland High Street escaped from the lid at the Restaurant.
35 -year -old Mustafa Kizildan, 45 -year -old Kenan Aydogdu and 44 -year -old Nasser Ali, arms, legs and thighs took firearms wounds.
But a stray bullet hit a nine -year -old girl, eating ice cream with her family.
He survived, but with serious injuries and the lead was still placed in his brain.

33 -year -old Javon Riley from Tottenham in North London was found guilty of three murder attempts at a hearing last month.
On Friday, he was sentenced to 34 years in prison for his role in the attack.
The arms man himself could not be found.
Mr. Babu said most people remained silent with a sense of fear, not with any sense of loyalty.
“The majority of the Turkish community do not want to do anything with them.”
Metropolitan policeAlthough Türkiye’s origins and connections to the maroon trade of organized crime gangs dates back to decades, the blood feud between Tottenham Turks and Hackney Turks seems to have increased after a fight in a club in January 2009.
Since then, the gangs have had numerous murders, beating, arson attacks and attempts to shoot.
“Drug gangs are really focusing on each other, Mr Mr. Babu said. “They realize that if a member of the people hurts, there will be a big examination and they do not want to examine it.”
Innocent people were not caught on cross -fire for the first time.
In March 2009, 50 -year -old tradesmen Ahmet Paytak was shot and his 21 -year -old son was injured, four shots were fired by a man who came to a motorcycle to the euro wines in Holloway and Food Store.
Metropolitan policeFormer Met Harey District Commander Dr Victor Olisa, an open hierarchy, high -organized gang leaders who control operations and those who fulfill their orders on the streets, he said.
“They do all kinds of to prove themselves, to prove that they can be trusted, to be brutal. They are quite chaotic and quite reckless.
“If you can ride a bike and shoot a gun in a crowd full of people, who do you think you will hit?
He said that it is common for gangs to hire other nations like Javon Riley born in Jamaica.
“Language is almost ‘you can be spent’.”
In the attempt to release Izzet Eren from a prison minibus near Wood Green Crown Court, a senior member of Tottenham Turks, he pointed to the case of 28 -year -old Jermaine Baker, who was shot by the police in 2015.
Eren himself was shot and killed in Moldova while sitting outside a café in July last year.
Riley’s role in the Dalston attack was to explore the restaurant, to discover for potential goals, and to remove the armed man in a stolen car.
In addition to the murder of three, he was found guilty of having heavy damage to the nine -year -old girl with intention.
He claimed that he thought it would be a “shot and cap” robbery and expected to be paid £ 30,000 or £ 40,000.

Det InSp Ben Dalloway, who pioneered the investigation, said that the attack was “well -organized, well -planned, good scenario” with the use of stolen vehicles on fake plates that were later burned.
He continued: “The more attention they attract, the harder to watch them, the harder they were aware of.”
However, the officers, CCTV and secret police records using Riley’s movements, he said.
Riley also said that the “man misses” “and the result was the shooting of a young girl.
However, during the trial, he refused to name him or to describe the armed man, claiming that he was afraid of his life and his family’s life.
Mr. Babu said that persuading people to give information remains the biggest challenge for the police, but believed that they have made progress in combating gangs and established better relationships with the Turkish community.
He continued: “It is very useful to have police officers who can speak the language and understand culture, the police service is much more diverse than before.”
Dr Olisa admitted that progress was made, but he said he was worried about policing cuts while trying to balance the power budget.
He continued: “Even if you buy more officers in neighborhood policing, you do not have experienced officers who can continue to run.”
He said it was important to assure communities that the police still have the ability to protect the resources and the ability to protect them.
PA MediaMET offers an award of up to £ 15,000 for the information that led to the prosecution of the armed man, and said that anonymous information can be given anonymously via independent aid Crimestoppers.
“We are more actively interested in trying to rely on their concerns with local enterprises, local Turkish communities and Kurdish communities,” Local enterprises, local Turkish communities and Kurdish communities, leading the Central Eastern Command unit. He said.
He insisted that the arms crime fell.
“These events, unfortunately, unfortunately, despite innocent victims, in this case, although a child is caught cross -fire, it is rare. I want to assure the communities where we make the streets safer.”

In a statement, the nine -year -old girl’s mother previously described the attack as “ruthless and inhuman”.
“The world we once believed to be safe for our child now makes you feel scary and uncertain.”
Mr. Babu said he hoped that people would do the right thing and help the police.
“We have to take such people out of the streets and I think we owe it to the nine -year -old girl and her family to make sure that we are doing everything to find the criminal that causes this terrible situation.”
