Brit expat ‘set US politician on fire’ after ‘affair with his wife’ | World | News

After a Briton accused of establishing a relationship with his wife, he was accused of attempting a first -degree murder, allegedly allegedly on fire.

The immigrant from Devon reportedly poured gasoline into 38-year-old Lee Vogler in his office in Virginia before burning it. A local police officer said an attack took place after learning that Buck-Hayes had a relationship with his wife, a local police officer. Buck-Hayes fled the scene, but was arrested in several streets from where the incident took place on 30 July.

“The attack stems from a personal issue that is not related to the Victim’s position on the Danville City Council or any political commitment.”

Mr. Vogler immediately ran to the hospital and was “awake and speaking” according to his owner in his company.

Buck-Hayes was accused of first-degree murder attempted and malicious injury. The next court appearance was prepared on 27 October.

Mr. Vogler’s wife told the court that her husband was in the hospital.

The sacrifice was first elected as a 24 -year -old council member in May 2012 and became the youngest person elected to the position.

Mr. Vogler was re -elected independently in November last year. “This is one I don’t accept. I have to win. So I’m running to be re -elected,” he said to the voters at that time.

“I do not run against anyone. I run for the future of Danville people and the future of our city.

“I appreciate the thinking of one of the five votes of Lee Vogs and the five votes for the municipal council.”
