Chipotle Karen wanted by police after throwing exploding burrito bowl in face of staff member at point blank range

An angry Chipotle customer was caught on camera throwing a burrito bowl in a staff member’s face.

The unidentified woman was seen at the chain’s Santa Ana location on May 12, aggressively arguing with an employee about her order, then throwing her food bowl at the employee who was standing directly across from the counter.

In the video, rice and beans were seen raining down on the employee’s head after the incident.

But when police arrived, they said the woman had fled the scene from a nearby shopping mall.

Santa Ana police are asking for the public’s help in finding the woman, who was seen wearing a black T-shirt and black pants with white polka dots, with her long brown hair pulled back.

Investigators believe the woman is between 18 and 25 years old and of Hispanic descent.

As the video went viral, some said they understood the woman’s frustration.

‘They always leave you short at Chipotle. ‘I’ve always held back from doing this,’ one Instagram user joked.

In the video, rice and beans can be seen raining down on the employee’s head after the incident.

‘BECAUSE THEY LYED WHEN THEY PUT MORE MEAT IN THE FOOD!!! DUH THAT’S WHY HE’S SAD,” added another.

But others were shocked by the woman’s brazen attack.

‘Assault charge over food??? Damn people really need to control their emotions,” one person commented on the Santa Ana Police Department post.

Another argued: ‘The belief that ‘the customer is always right’ has encouraged people to think they can do as they please.’

The attack on Chipotle came just days before a large group of teenagers trashed another Chipotle in Washington DC and punched each other at a ‘teen takeover’ event.

The fight on May 16 turned into even more chaos when they began throwing heavy chairs at each other and climbing over the restaurant chain’s furniture.

A young man wearing a blue surgical mask was seen lifting a wooden high chair over his head and hitting it on another young man. an online video showed.

They then both picked up another chair and threw it towards each other, while the two chairs collided and fell to the ground.

During the ‘teen takeover’ in Washington DC on the night of May 16, a large group of teenagers were seen trashing Chipotle and punching each other on the floor of the restaurant.

The footage also shows a father holding his young daughter and son close as they take shelter behind a concrete pillar as chaos ensues.

While other young people could be seen from outside filming the scene, screams and laughter echoed from onlookers before blue and red police lights were seen in the reflection of the glass.

According to the police, other young people said that the police arrived at a large number of young people wearing black clothes and balaclavas and ‘all the young people then fled on foot’.
