Why Donald Trump called London Mayor Sadiq Khan ‘among the worst’ globally

US President Donald Trump called Sadiq Khan as the worst mayor in the world and refused to have dinner with him. During his visit to England, Sadiq Khan made clear that he should not be seen in a feast hosted to meet him. This did not appear by Trump by anyone else. Born in Pakistan, Sadiq Khan is currently the Mayor of London. Trump said Sadiq Khan has done a very weak job as the mayor of Khan. He failed miserable on issues such as crime control and migration.
Trump’s dissatisfaction with the Mayor of London is not new. He attacked him sharply several times. Following a two-day visit to the UK between 16-18 September, US President Khan and dissatisfaction once again appeared. This time he called Sadiq the worst mayor in the world.
The tensions between Trump and Khan first appeared in 2015. This began with the proposal of Trump’s anti -Muslim travel travel criticized by Khan. Trump later referred to as Khan as a ‘very stupid’, ‘very stupid’, ‘disaster’ and ‘bad person’.
In 2016, Khan attacked Trump at the Democratic Congress. Trump, “Khan attacked me even though he didn’t know me.” Replied. In 2017, a terrorist attack occurred on the London Bridge that Mayor Khan answered, “There is nothing to worry about.” Trump replied, “At least seven people are dead and Khan says don’t worry. This excuse is embarrassing.”
In 2017, another attack occurred in London, and Trump said, “London doesn’t need a mayor like him.” In 2019, Trump visited London during a state visit. There he supported the protests and said, “Khan, who focused on the crime in London, lost a cold lost.”

In 2019, Khan commented on Trump’s golf. In response, Trump said, “Incompetent Mayor Khan, focus on the widespread knife crime in London.” He said. In July of that year, Khan criticized Trump before his visit to England. Trump replied, “Khan is a bad person who does a terrible job.”
And now, in September 2025, in relation to Trump’s second British state visit, Khan described him as “distant”, that is, a provocative. Trump was about to stay silent. “Khan is one of the worst mayors in the world. Immigration disaster. I stopped his feast.”
