CJP to launch website to identify police personnel who used brute force on protestors during Parliament March

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das, in a press conference on Friday, July 24, 2026, announced that the organization will launch a website to identify police personnel who used brutal force on protesters on the day of the Parliament March.

“We will identify each of those who used brutal force and press for an FIR to be filed against each of them. If the Delhi Police refuses to lodge an FIR, we will go to court. We have the support of lawyers from all over the country,” Mr. Das said.

Condemning allegations of ‘foreign funding’ behind the protest, Mr Das said: “If a narrative is being put forward that we are foreign funded, why is the government interested in Sonam Wangchuk? Why is the government interested in us?”

Criticizing the public interest litigation (PIL) seeking an investigation into the CJP-led protest at Jantar Mantar, Mr. Das said, “We also know that PILs have been filed in the courts against the movement. As requested through the NIA investigation PIL, we request the judges of the country not to allow their decisions to be politicized or weaponized by political considerations. We request the judges to stand on the right side of history, stand on the side of the future of the country as it goes through these days.”

Another CJP spokesperson, Ratna Singh, criticized the Delhi Police’s use of force against the protesters and accused the police of detaining youths trying to reach the protest site. “Many students were detained on Thursday, July 23… Lawyers are not allowed to meet with the detained students. We ask the police not to mistreat lawyers who are trying to do their duty.”

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke recorded the protesters who attended Parliament on July 20, stating that the police should withdraw all cases.

Mr Dipke said the movement demanding Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation was now bigger than ever.

Answering a question, he said “the protest will go on. Now the entire country has joined us. We will not step back until we get the resignation.”

Praising Sonam Wanchuk’s support for the movement, Mr. Dipke said, “We have learned that Sonam sir broke her hunger strike after 26 days. We thank her for her stance. The protest is now taking place in different states, the movement is now bigger than ever. Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. The youth of the country will not step back until he resigns.”

Mr. Wangchuk announced that Polish Apex Body co-convenor Cherring Dorjay Lakruk broke his fast late on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Mr Wangchuk said he broke his fast in the presence of two Union Ministers under certain circumstances. The official added that the government had given written assurances that cases against students would be withdrawn if they did not involve violence. He also said that the government has given written assurance that it will pay compensation to NEET candidates who took their lives.

Sharing details of CJP’s planned meeting with the government on the NEET paper leak issue, Mr. Das said: “Ashutosh [CJP spokesperson] and at 12.30 pm I was called to meet JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh.” The meeting will take place in a neutral location rather than home or office. Addressing the press conference, Mr. Das said that yesterday we received confirmation that the meeting will be held at the Constitution Club.

He said that after the first round of talks, the CJP met its two demands, including those that were non-negotiable.

CJP spokesperson Vaishnavi Gaur had earlier said: “We will voice our demands, which we have been consistent with since day one. The demands are: Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, compensation to families and all FIRs against innocent protesters should be withdrawn.”
