Kai Trump announced on Instagram that he had surgery on his left wrist.
He shared: ‘Today I had surgery on my left wrist to repair injuries to the stabilizing tissues of my ECU tendon and damage to my triangular fibrocartilage complex.
‘The surgery was performed by Jefferson Orthopedic Chief Dr. at Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. It was successfully accomplished by Thomas Graham.
‘I’m looking forward to my rehabilitation over the coming months. I’m excited to be able to play golf without pain!’

Kai will attend the University of Miami as part of the 2026 signing class to play college golf after starting school in August.

The young man admitted that he was not thinking of running again, but left the door open, saying, “A lot of things can happen until 2028.”
