CM condoles death of 3 persons from T.N. in Qatar fire

Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Tuesday condoled the death of three persons from Tamil Nadu who died in a fire accident at a factory in Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial Area on June 21.

Babith, Sajithkumar and Suvin, natives of Tirunelveli district, died in the tragic fire accident, Mr. Vijay said in his statement. Steps are being taken through the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Qatar to bring the bodies of the deceased to Tamil Nadu. He also instructed Minister for Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils ​​K. Thennarasu to take quick action in this regard, the official statement said.

Mr. Vijay also ordered that a solatium of ₹ 10 lakh per person be provided to the families of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund.
