CM Decision on Metro Costing Rs 2 Cr a Day: Vivekanand

Hyderabad:BRS Legislative Assembly Party and Quthbullapur MLA KP Vivekanand Goud on Tuesday said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s rush to take over Hyderabad Metro Rail from L&T is costing the state government Rs 2 lakh per day and demanded an explanation on what steps have been taken after his speeches on the Metro Rail takeover issue at the Centre.
Addressing a press conference, Vivekanand said: “Every decision, be it the establishment of HYDRAA, Metro Rail, HILT policy or clearance of Musi, results in destruction of one kind or another.” He said that now a big question mark hangs over the future of the Metro Rail System and the Prime Minister is spending time writing letters to the Centre.
If the Prime Minister was serious about Metro Rail, he would not have canceled the proposed Rayadurgam to RGI Airport line. Goud said even the operations of existing Metro Rail services have suffered due to their decision.
