CM To Focus on Governance, Welfare, Growth Indicators at Collectors’ Meet

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will chair the two-day 7th collectors’ conference to be held at the secretariat from Thursday, as the government emphasizes that people’s aspirations remain its top priority.
The conference assumes importance following the CM’s recent district-wise review meetings with public representatives.
Naidu aims to strengthen administrative efficiency and review progress in implementation of development and welfare programmes.
He is expected to give policy directions to district administrations to ensure effective management and faster delivery of public services, official sources said.
On the first day, discussions will focus on the 10-point agenda of Swarna Andhra, district-wise GSDP growth, implementation of centrally sponsored programmes, redressal of grievances, grounding of investment proposals, clearance of files and governance mechanisms related to RTGS.
District collectors and SPs will present the “best practices” implemented in their districts. Naidu is promoting innovative governance models and directing officials to replicate successful initiatives across the state.
Aggregators from at least four regions will present their best practices. The CM would review the implementation status of best practices presented by district administrations during the fifth and sixth collector conferences.
The second day of the conference will focus on Sanjeevani, Summer Action Plan, Super Six programmes, welfare initiatives, revenue and income generating departments, education, skill development and law and order.
SPs will attend the review meeting after the lunch break on the second day.
