CMC celebrates Hospital Day to mark 125 years of service

Christian Medical College (CMC) organized a two-day celebration of ‘Hospital Day 2025’ at its campus in Vellore to celebrate 125 years of compassionate service to the nation.
According to the press release, the celebrations included more than 100 stands and workshops related to clinical services, education, research, ancillary services, support and engineering services. Interactive workshops focusing on basic life support, blood donation, organ donation and chest pain resuscitation training provided valuable information to the participants. The celebration reflected strong community participation, with over 2,500 students from 22 schools and seven colleges in Vellore and Ranipet districts participating, along with over 9,000 members from the general public.
Collector VR Subbulaxmi inaugurated the event in the presence of Mayor Sujatha Anandakumar. CMC director Vikram Mathews praised the staff for their dedication to medical service. The statement stated that CMC medical chief I. Rajesh, chief nursing officer Alice Sony and Dean of the College of Nursing (CMC) Shandrila Gnanatheebam were present on the occasion.
