CNN’s Scott Jennings Nuked by Guest in Withering Attack Over Blunt Epstein Files Take

BERMAN: Yes, today marks one month since the Justice Department was required by law to release all the Epstein files. A rate of less than 1 percent has been published so far. Lauren Boebert said something interesting there. He said the truth will set you free.
The law says Scott will release any unturned Epstein files if the Justice Department requests or comes into possession of them.
JENNINGS: Yeah, what’s the penalty if they don’t?
BERMAN: That’s a great point. I mean, it’s a problem.
JENNINGS: There is none. Here’s a deal. I think they should release it. I think they should follow the law. I also have no idea how long it takes to prepare so much documentation for this type of publication. The advisor may have some thoughts on this, but they have to follow the law, but let’s not get our panties mixed up here. No punches.
MCGOWAN: Yeah, let’s not “pickle our panties” over child rape! Why are you talking like this? This is crazy! Like it’s crazy. The Epstein files are a —

JENNINGS: What’s the crazy thing?
MCGOWAN: — multinational, multigenerational child and female sex trafficking ring. So your attitude now, which is sort of like, damn it, the devil has begun, is appalling to me. Every woman in the world is watching this. Why are you acting like you don’t know what’s going on here? Scott, this…
(CROSS)
JENNINGS: You’re asking me a question about obeying the law.
MCGOWAN: Yes.
Jennings: I said they had to obey the law.
MCGOWAN: Yes, and they don’t follow the law. They were 30 days late in following the law and did not explain why they needed to regulate in the first place, which they should have done.
JENNINGS: I know you have a strong opinion on this issue, and I respect that.
MCGOWAN: Listen, that’s not true at this point; I have a strong opinion on this because it is a disgusting policy that they are doing this.
(CROSS)
JENNINGS: But I think they need to do it as well as they can.
MCGOWAN: They’re hiding it. It is not the behavior of innocent people. And everything in these files could bring down a whole house. And if it is necessary, it must be so. If it brings the Democrats down, bring them down. If this takes down the Republicans, take it down, too. If it can topple these princes, world leaders, Hollywood people, it can topple them too.
But right now it’s like there’s a huge group of people who don’t have to listen to the law, who don’t have to go against the law, and they had to do something, and then they didn’t do anything, and now they’re trying to pass a new law that says there’s no need to even do that.
