The ruling National Conference (NC) said that on Thursday, July 3, 2025, Raj Bhavan intervened in the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Information Department, that he created obstacles for the appointment of lawyer General, and caused delays for proper management in a union land.

NC Leader and MLA Tanvir Sadiq, “Why is there a intervention in the functioning of the Director of the Information Department? The elected government has been made dysfunctional since he agreed to protect the same lawyer General, who was appointed by Raj Bhavan in October 2024,” he said.

“Business rules have been sent twice, not once [to the Governor] The cabinet has not yet received the necessary approval from LG. He has to walk the conversation ..

Mr. Sadiq reacted to a statement about LG’s functioning in J & K. Sinha said in the early hours of the day, orum I don’t exceed the limits of governance. I just have control over the police. ”

Since an elected government took over the reins of the Union region in October 2024, there has been a permanent friction between the J & K government and Raj Bhavan.

In March this year, the government of Omar Abdullah conveyed the draft business rules to Raj Bhavan for approval. The J&B government was compulsory by the 2019 J&B reorganization law to prepare the draft proposal of the rules of business for the approval of the governor. Business rules Raj Bhavan disrupts the functioning of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. The law gives the LG power and all issues related to the law and order in the Union Region to control the J & K police.

Meanwhile, in a letter addressing Raj Bhavan, NC Mla Salman Sagar asked for the extension of Chinkra Kochalla Habba Kadal from the Sheeshgari Khanyar of the city of the traditional Muharrem Regiment. Sagar, “I hope that the demand will be evaluated in good faith and this year will be allowed to extend,” he said.
