Cockroach Janta Party Founder Dipke Arrives in Delhi

New Delhi: Online Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Delhi on Saturday ahead of a planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar and urged his supporters to maintain discipline and ensure the protest remains peaceful. Activist Sonam Wangchuk, who supported the protest, also stated that she would fast for six weeks if Dipke was arrested.

In a post on X, Dipke expressed his excitement at meeting fans at Jantar Mantar, encouraging them to bring a book and the national flag. He also urged participants to offer flowers to police personnel as a “gesture of compassion and gratitude,” emphasizing that the movement should be led with “love and peace.”

“I have landed. I look forward to meeting you all at Jantar Mantar. Don’t forget to carry a book and our Tiranga! Offer flowers to the policemen as a token of compassion and gratitude. We must lead this movement with love and peace!” he said.

The protest was organized by CJP, a youth-led online movement demanding accountability for alleged irregularities in exams and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET and SSC exams.

The group also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dipke, who recently returned from the United States to join the movement, described the campaign as a peaceful constitutional movement.

The demonstration, planned to be held at Jantar Mantar, is expected to be the group’s first significant field action after receiving significant support on social media in recent weeks.

Wangchuk encouraged the young participants to keep the peace and cooperate with the authorities. He advised protesters to carry only essential items such as water bottles and cellphones and encouraged them to bring flowers. He also stated that people carrying weapons or suspicious objects should be reported to the police immediately.

Security was increased in the capital before the protest. Police officials stated that additional personnel have been deployed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, border entry points and other sensitive points.

According to officials, the police did not receive an official request for permission for the demonstration; however, they have implemented security regulations based on information collected through social media monitoring and other channels.

As a precautionary measure, more than 1,000 police personnel have been allocated for deployment across New Delhi and other strategic areas.

Ahead of the protest, CJP issued guidelines urging participants to maintain non-violent behavior and avoid confrontations. Dipke’s latest call reiterates those instructions, emphasizing that law enforcement be treated respectfully during the demonstration.
