Cockroach Janta Party calls for nationwide protest on Friday over alleged police brutality

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Thursday issued a nationwide call for “peaceful protest” on Friday, July 24, calling on student unions and other organizations to rally across regions in solidarity with those they claim are victims of police brutality.

In a post on X, CJP announced a campaign titled “Every District. One Day. One Demand.” and called for coordinated demonstrations across the country.

The post stated that the protests were aimed at “solidarity with victims of police brutality across India.”

Under the section titled “What and How to Do”, the party asked student unions and other organizations to “collaborate and work together on permits and logistics”.

Organizers were also instructed to read students’ demands during meetings. The post said, “Read the students’ demands out loud in front of the meeting. Show solidarity with those who are subjected to police violence.”
The organization said a detailed standard operating procedure (SOP), protest assurances and a memorandum template are available on its website for organisers.
The post ended with the slogans “INQUILAB ZINDABAD” and “BHARAT MATA KI JAI”.
