Cockroach Janta Party Protest: Abhijeet Dipke says no march now as police will hurt youth again
“We had to cancel the protest yesterday because we didn’t want any more young people to get injured,” CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke said at a press conference.
“We will not march again because the police will harm young people again,” Dipke said. The CJP founder said more than 150 protesters were being treated in hospital.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led protest movement that first gained attention through satire on social media, took out the ‘Sansad Chalo’ march to press for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the repeated leaks of exam papers, including the NEET controversy.
The campaign has since expanded to include concerns about youth unemployment, the handling of the education system and wider governance issues. Protesters also demanded accountability after climate activist Sonam Wangchuk was hospitalized while on hunger strike. Despite the restrictions imposed by the Delhi Police, thousands of people attempted to march towards Parliament, leading to clashes, detentions and injuries.

While the movement, which has been going on for months led by the CJP, attracted the attention of millions of young Generation Z supporters, many Opposition parties also supported it.
Police said 70 protesters were detained and legal action would be taken against them.
On Tuesday morning, despite light rain, around 150 to 200 protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar in central Delhi and chanted slogans. Security remained tight, with paramilitary personnel deployed in parts of central Delhi and roadblocks causing traffic delays.
