Heavy security arrangements were in place in the national capital with the police taking extensive surveillance and crowd control measures as the Cockroach Janta Party held its second protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, officials said.
The protest began with increased police presence as supporters arrived from different parts of Delhi and neighboring states.
Officials said authorities had given permission for the demonstration.
According to officials, CCTV cameras were installed in and around the protest venue to monitor the meeting in real time. According to officials, approximately 270 body-worn cameras will be used by police personnel deployed in the area to ensure transparency and document transactions.
